Guess what! I’m joining in this month’s Recipe Round Up from Kleinworth and Co. Each month, we get a theme to make a recipe based on. Open-ended, just have fun. I love have fun cooking/baking groups! Last month’s chocolate chip theme turned out some fab dishes. This month we’re making recipes inspired by Ice Cream Sodas.
So if you’re like me, you may be having a “what’s the difference between and ice cream soda and a float?” I mean seriously. They both have some sort of soda and ice cream and you can add extras if you like. The difference = ice cream sodas – you put all your ice cream in the glass (2 to 3 scoops) first | floats – you fill your cup with soda and then top with a scoop of ice cream. So ice cream sodas are creamier and more like a carbonated milkshake…sort of. But they’re awesome and they make me happy.
I wanted to do something a little lighter for my soda. I had seen chocolate with coke and chocolate syrup {which sounds great}, but I had vanilla ice cream and some fruit and I’m going seasonal. So for you today, I have a Raspberry Ginger Ice Cream Soda. It’s wicked easy to make and will put a smile on your face.
