No Fail Sugar Cookies
This is my favorite go to recipe for all the fancy decorated cookies I make.
And sugar cookies in general.

Ingredients
Method
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Mix well. mix dry ingredients and add a little at a time to butter mixture. Mix until flour is incorporated and the dough comes together.
- Chill for 1 to 2 hours.
- Roll to desired thickness {spacers help A LOT} and cut into desired shapes. Bake on a Sil-Pat lined baking sheet at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes or until just beginning to turn brown around the edges.
Notes
I usually make a half batch of this dough and get about 2 to 3 dozen cookies, depending on the shapes/sizes of the cookie cutter.

I have the same recipe and it is the only one I will use. I tried so many and was about to give up until I saw this recipe on Cake Central. I actually just made some cookies yesterday and froze them. I will decorate them in a couple days.
Love your blog!!!
if-i-only-end-up-using-half-the-dough-can-i-freeze-the-other-half-and-use-it-some-other-time?
can you tell me if this is All Purpose flour? or Self-Rising?
