S’mores Milkshake

Hi kids! It’s day two of s’mores week and I have a humdinger of a recipe for you today!  I swear so of my best recipes are last minute ideas where I’m just grabbing stuff willy nilly and praying it’ll work.  This S’mores Milkshake was premeditated, but was made on the fly.  And guess what.  It’s freaking AWESOME!  {yes, I used humdinger and willy nilly in close proximity. go with it.}

So I love s’mores.  I was really worried about this shake tasting like a s’mores.  I mean, it’s a drink.  Well this shake totally tastes like a s’mores.  Especially when you take a bite of toasted marshmallow, then a big swig of the shake, and then chew & smush it all together in your mouth.  Swallow.  Perfect!

So good.  So so good!  I annihilated this shake in 2 minutes.  I’m not kidding.  No one ever knew it was gone.  They heard the blender.  Saw me at the table with the camera, and it was gone.  The shake itself is chocolate graham cracker with a little marshmallow fluff for good measure, but the chocolate and graham cracker are the name of the game.  The caramel in the frozen yogurt really brings out the vanilla graham cracker-ish flavor.  The those toasted marshmallows?!?  OMG.  Please tell me you’re off to make this shake now!

  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 2 scoops honey caramel frozen yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 to 1 cup 2% milk
  • 2 sheet graham crackers ground to fine crumbs
  • 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 2 large marshmallows
  • 1 short skewer

  1. Using your finger tip, coat the rim of your shake glass with marshmallow fluff. Dip the glass rim in the graham crackers crumbs to coat it. {You can place the crumbs on a plate for easy dipping.}
  2. Place the ice cream, frozen yogurt, chocolate syrup, 1/2 cup milk, remaining graham cracker crumbs and marshmallow fluff in a blender. Blend until smooth; add more milk as needed until you reach your desired thickness.
  3. Skewer the marshmallows and toast them on all sides over and open flame.
  4. Pour the shake into your glass and garnish with toasted marshmallows.

Recipe Notes

You can use all vanilla ice cream if you prefer, the shake will still rock!
