Getting Ready for Spring with The Home Depot

This is a sponsored post written of my behalf for The Home Depot.

Happy Wednesday!  I know you’re thinking “it’s hump day, what’s so great about that?”  Well put on a smile hunny bun because Spring is headed your way and it’s time to go outside and get to making your world beautiful again!

Arizona doesn’t exactly get cold cold in the winter, but when spring arrives and the weather is perfect for a couple months – before the driest, hottest heat ever sets in – I get all giddy.  We take the boys to the park.  I spend as much time blogging and doing stuff in the back yard as I can to get us all out into the fresh air.

{Soon this space will be happy.}

I’ve been working on my own big DIY project, but I’m in middle of what feels like a never ending sanding marathon and I need a little break.  So I’m letting my head run wild with ways to gussy up the house for spring.  And what better way to bring some life to your house than with some outdoor improvements.

Now don’t think I’m talking about a fresh coat of paint for the whole house.  Even the littlest things can give you that fresh springy feeling.  I wanted some inspiration, so I headed over to Home Depot’s Garden Club website, and looked around their DIY projects designed to help you #DigIn to spring.

I was all over the Garden Club website.  I found so many How To projects.  Like how to Start Seeds at Home with a Seed Starter Kit, and there’s a whole section of edible gardening as well.  Think farm to table style cooking.  Yum!  Speaking of farms…there’s also a How To Build a Chicken Coop.  I’ve been wanting to do this ever since meeting Maddie’s Chickens.  When I buy a house, it’s on!

With all these cool projects to try I was worried about feeling a little overwhelmed.  I’m a beginner DIY girl for the most part, but I have big aspirations to tackle anything in the house someday.  Lucky for me Home Depot’s Garden Club has expert advice {just like in the store}, How-To videos {thank goodness!}, and monthly to-do lists to keep you and your garden on track to be everything it can be.

Since the Home Depot loves its Garden Club members, you get $5 off your next purchase of $50 or more just for signing up.  I love a good discount about as much as I love a new project.  Not to mention club member exclusive email savings and new project sneak peeks.  Being an insider is fun!  It makes me feel all in-the-know and stuff.  I’m nerding out.  You had to know this was going to happen at some point.

It’s home improvement time, and The Home Depot has everything you need for spring. No matter what projects you want to tackle, The Home Depot has you covered and can help you #DigIn to Spring.

Spring is the perfect time for all your outdoor home renovations. I love Home Depot. My kids give me gift cards for Christmas and my birthday. I can’t wait for the first signs of warm weather to plan how I’m going to spend them. Flowers are always involved.
