Snickerdoodle Bread

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder


  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Beat together butter, sugar, salt, and cinnamon until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beat until incorporated after each addition. Add vanilla and sour cream, mix well.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Add flour mixture to wet ingredients in two additions; mix until just combined after each addition.
  4. Spray loaf pan with non-stick spray and pour batter into pan. Fill 2/3 full, DO NOT over fill!!
  5. Mix topping ingredients together and distribute evenly over top batter. You will think there is too much of the topping. It’s okay…use it all.
  6. Bake 50 minutes to 1 hour, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan.
