Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 slices provolone Cheese
  • 2 avocados halved and sliced
  • Bacon Corn Relish
  • 4 burger buns split open
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Lightly toast buns in a 350 degree F oven.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and onion powder with your hands until well combined. Press down the beef and section into 4 quarters.
  3. Take each quarter of the beef and roll into a ball. Flatten the ball into a patty with your hands and set aside.
  4. Heat butter in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange burger patties in skillet and weigh down to prevent them burgers from loosing their shape. {I use an 8″ x 8″ baking dish and place a soup can in each corner.} Cook burgers for 6 to 7 minutes, flipping once until cooked medium (or to the temperature of your liking). Turn heat to medium-low and top each patty with a slice of cheese; cook until melted.
  5. Smear mayonnaise onto each burger bun top. Place patty on burger bun bottom. Top with Bacon Corn Relish and avocado. Server with fries and ketchup.
