Kettle Corn

Make a batch of deliciously sweet Kettle Corn at home! It's easier than you think!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add one popcorn kernel – when it pops the oil is ready.
  2. Add popcorn kernels and sugar. Stir constantly to prevent sugar from burning. When popping starts, cover pot with lid. Shake pan over burner during popping to prevent sugar from burning.
  3. When popping has slowed to 2 or 3 seconds between pops, remove pot from heat and pour into a large bowl. Stir kettle corn to prevent lumps. {Be careful, sugar will be hot.} Cool and try not to eat the entire bowl in one sitting.
