Hi there, it’s Sara from The Organic Dietitian again. This month Julie suggested recipes that could be used for tailgating. What comes to mind when you think of tailgating…burgers, hot dogs, pizza, chips? The challenge for me was to come up with a dessert and keep it healthy, make it with real food, and keep it unprocessed.
Why not turn a party dip into a dessert? It’s hummus meets cookie dough. I don’t know about you but I could eat raw cookie dough with a spoon. Luckily this dessert hummus has less sugar, more protein and more fiber than the real thing. Serve it with graham crackers, pretzels, and fresh fruit for dipping.
It may sound a bit strange but everyone that has tried it loves it and is surprised its hummus. It’s the only cookie dough that’s healthy enough to eat by the spoonfuls. Happy tailgating!
