Lemon Drop Martini a refreshing blend of tart and sweet, the perfect summer drink.
My fiancé and I frequent a favorite Mexican restaurant that has the best food and the most delicious lemon drop martini. I knew that I needed to recreate this drink. That’s one of the side effects of being a food blogger, the need to analyze and recreate anything and everything you eat in a restaurant. This can be quite annoying to the person dining with me since I pepper them with questions about what they think is in the food and then I’m furiously writing down everything I can think of, right in the middle of dinner. I try not to do that around new people lest they think I’m weird. Ahem…
Anyway…back to this drink. If you love lemons then this will soon be your favorite drink. I love the sweetness of the sugar in mixed with the sourness of the lemon juice. The perfect balance of sweet and sour on your taste buds. This is the perfect drink for an outdoor party or a fun, festive bridal shower.
The first time we made this we used vodka instead of rum, nope not right. I tried it with bottled lemon juice instead of fresh lemons, definitely don’t do that. For this drink you really want to get the Bacardi Limon rum. It makes the entire drink.

Lemon Drop Martini
- 1 ounce Bacardi Limon
- ½ ounce Triple Sec
- 1 ounce Sweet n Sour Mix
- 1 ounce of fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Sugar finely ground
Fill a shaker with ice.
Add the Bacardi Limon, Triple Sec, Sweet n Sour Mix, Lemon Juice and Sugar.
Pour into a glass.
