Want to dress up your home with some super cool custom frames? Get ready because today is the day kids! All you need are some cool picture frames from Cut It Out, paint, paint brushes, glue, and silver flake. You won’t believe how easy this project is!
EQUPIMENT
Two 8-inch x 10-inch Parker picture frames
Black & white acrylic paint
Mod Podge
Two large paintbrushes
Two medium paintbrushes
Silver flake sheets
METHOD
Remove the cardboard backing from the picture frames.
Using the large paint brushes, paint one frame black and one frame white. You don’t need to paint the back, but be sure to get the sides and the inner edge where your picture will go. Allow paint to dry completely.
Grab your medium paint brushes, Mod Podge, and silver flake.
Paint a thin layer of mod podge where you’d like the silver flake to go on the frame. If the mod podge is too thick the silver leaf won’t stick the first few tries. You can blow on the mod podge to help make it tacky and sticky too.
Lay a sheet of silver flake onto of the mod podge and press firmly on the back of the sheet to adhere the silver flake to the glue. Pull up on the sheet. Keep pressing the part of the sheet that still have silver flake onto the glue until the area of the frame you want is completely covered, you may need more than one sheet.
Using the second paint brush, gently brush the top of the silver flake to remove any excess pieces and completely press the flake to the frame.
Repeat in other areas of each frame until your create your desired look.
And bam! A shiny pretty frame!
Just pop your favorite 8-inch x 10-inch pictures or printables in the frames and enjoy!

My new office was hating it for some more stuff on the walls, and these frames were perfect! I think they are just the thing for the mini wall next to my desk. And I can switch out the printables whenever I want.
I may totally have plans to display the bar menu and dinner menu in these frames at the wedding too.
