So I have a secret. I’ve been plotting with a bunch of gals during the last month. You see there’s this special lady in our lives and today just so happens to be her birthday.
Hi Jen
I LOVE YOU!!!
Okay. I’m a little better now. I got the idea to do this party for Mrs. Jen Marrs after seeing one for a big name blogger last year. I’ve always wanted to do some kind of super secret squirrel surprise party for one of my blog friends. Since Jen has the biggest heart, goofiest/best personality, dances and sings her butt of, keeps us all shredding, and happens to be my blog BFF…how could I resist?
So Jen, today we’re celebrating you in all your wonderful craziness! I can’t wait til we can meet in person and then we can real conversations – like the ones we have behind closed Facebook group doors. I love you you sexy beast! I even shaved my pits for you today, so you know I mean it.
Presents! Every birthday party should have presents. So I made you a Braided Scarf like the one I found after stalking looking through your Pinterest boards. Because what’s better than making something cute form Pinterest? Having a friend make you something cute from Pinterest so you look adorable, and can brag you actually made something you pinned. {I wont’ tell if you don’t.}
Ready? We’re going to make these two shirts into a Braided Scarf.
{Let’s just disclaimer that the only time I could sew was after the boys were in bed. See: no natural light. Just go with it.}
Grab a pair of sewing scissors, sewing machine, a sewing needle, and coordinating thread. Follow THIS TUTORIAL from Put Up Your Dukes, and you’ll get a little something that looks like this!
Oh I hope you like Jen. Neutrals go with everything, right?
And since it’s a birthday party, we’ve got to have cake. But here’s the deal. Jen likes ice cream better than cake. So we’re having super delicious sophisticated ice cream sundaes instead.

Kitchen Sink Sundae
Ingredients
- 2 large scoops Talenti Caramel Cookie Crunch Gelato
- 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons crunchy Biscoff spread
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate syrup
- Biscoff cookie
Instructions
-
Place gelato in a shallow champagne glass. Top gelato with Biscoff spread and chocolate chips. Put a big dollop of whipped cream on top of everything, drizzle whipped cream with chocolate syrup, and garnish with half a Biscoff cookie.
Every birthday girl should get her sundae served in a champagne glass.
I ate this for you Jen.
Because I love you.
Enough with the mushy stuff from me. Let’s have some love from all the other amazing ladies helping make this party possible.
