Get Your Chef On: Shrimp | Sign Up

Happy New Year everyone!  Jen and I have missed you all over the holidays, but I think taking a break was the best thing.  I mean really.  There was NO way I was going to be able to put together a super awesome secret ingredient post amid the Black Friday and turkey cooking in November.  But we are back in the swing of things and ready to kick off a new challenge.

GYCO Button

If this is your first GYCO cooking challenge, WELCOME!!  Check out the Get Your Chef On page to get all the details and see past challenges and winners.

This month we’re cooking with an ingredient that’s kind of hard not to love and can be used in a TON of different ways.  Ready?

We’re cooking with shrimp!

I freaking love shrimp.  It’s the heart and soul of my favorite pasta.  And just so you don’t forget who you’re competing against to take the Get Your Chef On title from, let’s take a look at Deb’s winning post from the last GYCO round.

Overnight French Toast with Applesauce Syrup.  Yeah.

You can check out all the GYCO fun on Pinterest on our Get Your Chef On pin board and on Twitter by following the #GYCO hashtag.  We’d love for you to follow your hosts so you can get ingredient inspiration and make sure to keep up on all future challenges.

So fun!! I can’t wait to do this! I just decided this week that I need to do more savory recipes, since the vast majority of food posts I do are dessert-y. This is a perfect chance to get this started! Plus, shrimp is pretty much my favorite. Yay!! 🙂
