Fall is in the air! Hey friends, it’s me, Tessa from tessacotton. I’m delighted to be sharing this makeup look with you ladies today. It’s so easy for me to get stuck in a rut with my make-up routine – I pretty much use the same 5 products every day when getting ready for work. One great thing able blogging is that it always has me trying something different!
I’m not one for too many crazy colors, but I wanted to get a little out of the box and try a new look. This one was inspired by the colors of fall (particularly Halloween) and uses shades of green, black and orange. If you’re like me you might be hesitant to try an orange eyeshadow, but used correctly it can be a fresh new look without getting too costume-y. (save that for the 31st!)
The products I used for this eyeshadow look are:
-Sephora Eyeshadow Primer
-My Beauty Addiction Eyeshadow in “Champagne”
-ULTA Eyeshadow in “Mimosa”
-MAC Eyeshadow in “Club Satin”
-Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara
-ULTA Automatic Eyeliner in Black
I covered my entire eye area in primer, and then swiped on some champagne colored shadow across the lid and browbone. I followed that with a generous dusting of orange eyeshadow over the entire lid and a small amount under my lower ash line. Next I carefully applied the green shadow to the crease of the eye. The final touch was a thin rim of black eyeliner and double coat of mascara.
There you have it! A pumpkin-inspired eyeshadow that is totally wearable for an everyday look. Please hit me up on twitter or instagram if you try this look, or have any other orange makeup ideas you’d like me to see. I’d love to check them out!
